Moving Stories: The Furniture Delivery Network supplies services to new major distributor

For FDN, the main scope of the project involved the positioning and assembly of furniture in the required locations outlined in the client’s brief. Working in collaboration with the distributor’s furniture providers, Nowy Styl Group, FDN installed furniture across many areas of the building including: canteen areas, open plan offices, cellular offices, meeting rooms and other smaller rooms.

Although the company had its own representatives on-site to move the furniture, complications soon emerged when strike-action across the Channel unfortunately delayed and complicated the project’s delivery schedule. The delay inevitably meant FDN had to provide assistance where necessary.

Adding to this complexity, there was a large amount of indecision as to where the furniture was to be placed. Compared to other projects, the drawing for this project wasn’t as accurate; therefore this posed some challenges when it came to installation.

Speaking of FDN’s services, Adam John, Project & Site Coordinator at Nowy Styl Group, said: “We have used various installation companies previously, but given the size and nature of the furniture for this project, we decided to go with FDN. Their team members were extremely positive, diligent and accommodating, adapting to the difficult demands of this project.”
